POC: Reimbursements and Purchase Processing

The Treasurer is responsible for the management of all funds supporting the activities of the squad.

The AHVRS is supported by funds from the County of Stafford, as well as funds received from the public in response to fund-raising drives. 

The effective management of funds allows the AHVRS to provide training and personal gear for our members (such as boots, pants, and shirts), as well as purchase gear used directly to save lives and assist our citizens in need (such as ambulance fuel, cots, AEDs, and even band-aids!  We also use funds to do outreach events where we can inform or remind citizens how to keep themselves and their families safer.  A specific example is that over the years we've GIVEN out hundreds of free bicycle helmets to our younger residents.  We also have an active literature campaign. 

So, as you see, our funds are all used to the purpose of being able to equip our members to provide the best service and support to Stafford and our EMS community. 

A Treasurers Report is provided each month at the Membership Meetings.  Also, a copy of the most recent bank statement showing the checkbook balance is provided for cursory review by members or interested folks.  Our fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30.
