Requirements for Volunteers
1. You must fill out the county application for Volunteer EMT. (link->) Volunteer Application
2. Gather your immunization records (Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella [unless previously diagnosed with chicken pox], Tetanus [within 10 years], Tuberculin Test/PPD [within one year]).
3. Expect to do some online training regarding hazardous materials and the incident command system. There will be a requirement to get CPR certified and complete an online orientation to the County.

The initial process will be handled by the County Volunteer Coordinator, Mr. Robert Eaby, he will be your point of contact as you begin. Once you have completed the process with Mr. Eaby your packet will be passed along to our (AHVRS) membership coordinator. If at any time you believe you have missed something please reach out to any point of contact you have with the County or the rescue squad.
Membership requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old to be a junior member, then after turning 18 and out of school you become an active member.
- Active members are required to run 24-hours a month.
- Members are expected to attend membership meetings every second Wednesday of the month at 8pm.
- We will work with you to get your EMT-B certification through the county run programs.
- Drivers must be Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) certified or state approved equivalent and Healthcare Provider CPR.
