October 2017
Training and education of our squad members has always been a priority. This year Aquia Harbour Volunteer Rescue is very proud of our members who completed the 2017 Stafford County Volunteer Recruit Academy. The Spring EMT class graduated Cambria Gentile, Joanne Jensen, Stephanie Jones and Shelley Young. Stephanie Jones was named the Top EMS Recruit for 2017. Squad member Danielle Shriver graduated from the Fire Academy. Manuel Reyes joined our squad as Junior member, while he was in high school and has been away at college in Florida. He spent his summer vacation completing the Summer Accelerated EMT program and has successfully passed the National registry exam. Five new EMTs to add to our ranks and the Stations and County gains another volunteer firefighter. All are a credit to the squad for the energy, effort, and the volunteer hours they expended to achieve their certification. Now they begin the probationary process for release as Attendant in Charge
It is all about staffing ambulance, answering the 911 emergency calls, and providing excellent patient care. And don't forget squad also provides community education programs.
